In this month's update, we've been working hard on a major upgrade to Approvals, alongside improvements to the mobile app and a new Auto-Apply Adjustment Line. Here's a quick overview.
👉 Approval Workflows - Multi-Stage Approval is Here
You can now build a fully custom approval process in Datamolino - set the conditions that trigger a workflow, define as many stages as you need, assign approvers to each one, and control what they can edit. Nothing is exported until every stage is complete.
👉 Conditions & Stages - Build Your Approval Path
Set the conditions that trigger a workflow - by amount, supplier, currency, ledger account, tax code, or tracking category. Then add as many stages as you need, running in order. At each stage, you assign one or more approvers - any one of them can approve to move the document forward. You can also set a stage to only kick in from a certain amount upward.
👉 Editing Rights - Control What Approvers Can Change
At each stage, you decide how much approvers can edit - lock the document completely, allow full editing, or pick exactly which fields they can change.
👉 Auto-Apply Adjustment Line - Fix Rounding Differences Automatically
Small rounding differences between line items and invoice totals no longer need manual attention. A new folder setting lets you set a threshold, and Datamolino will automatically add an adjustment line whenever the difference falls within it - keeping your documents export-ready without the extra click.
👉 Mobile App - Upgraded and Refreshed
The Datamolino mobile app has had an update. Along with a refreshed experience, the app now holds your captures in a Queue when your signal is low or unstable - uploading them automatically once your connection improves, so nothing gets lost. You can check the Queue tab at any time to see what's uploading and what's waiting.
If you have suggestions or ideas for features you'd like to see, please let us know. We're here to make Datamolino work better for you!
