Updated this week

Here’s what’s new in Datamolino this month - updates designed to make your document review and reporting more efficient.

👉 Updated Document List Screen

We’ve moved Status and Import Date to the left side of the document list, so you can check document progress at a glance - without scrolling on smaller screens. The Export to file option for bulk actions is now under the Tools menu.

👉 Inbuilt Calculator - Now in More Places

There’s a handy calculator built into Datamolino, so you don’t need to switch tabs when working out an invoice split. You’ll find it wherever you enter amounts - including the Bill Split view.

👉 Improvements to Approval

Editing Documents During Approval (Optional setting)

This flexible workflow can be enabled in Folder Settings, so you can choose whether documents stay editable or locked during approval. It’s especially useful for teams working in parallel - previously, documents were locked once submitted, which could slow things down.

Cleaner Approval Screen Layout

We’ve simplified the layout by bringing button placement and status indicators together, making it easier to see what stage a document is in. Also, the Export button is now grouped under the Submit for Approval dropdown, reducing screen clutter and keeping actions in one place.

👉 New Export Report & More Date Range Options

There’s a new report that shows pending exports by issue date, helping you spot delays or gaps more easily - especially during month-end reviews or when clearing backlogs. Plus, we’ve added more date range options to reports, so it’s easier to view activity for key periods like This Quarter, Last Month, or Year to Date.
