Sometimes you need to keep a client’s data even after they’ve left. Maybe for compliance, or just to be safe. Instead of deleting their folder, you can now archive it.
Here’s why you might want to use it:
Keep old client data without cluttering your main dashboard
Stop processing any new uploads or emails sent to the folder
Easily restore the folder later if needed
💡Just keep in mind: if there were any files waiting to be processed, Datamolino will start processing them again once the folder is active.
How to Archive and Unarchive a Folder
To archive a folder:
Open the folder.
Click on Folder Menu.
Choose the Archive Folder option.
The second option is to go into Folder Menu -> Folder Preferences -> Folder Info -> Archive Folder 👇
To unarchive a folder:
Go to your main dashboard and scroll to the bottom
Click Archived Folders section.
Click Restore next to the folder you want to bring back.
That’s it – the folder will be active again and ready to use.
If you don't see the Archive Folders section
If you don’t see the Archive Folder option in the folder menu, it usually means you don’t have Admin access for that folder.
Please check the following:
Make sure you are a folder Admin - only Admins can archive folders.
If you’re not an Admin, ask another Admin or the account owner/manager to either:
archive the folder for you, or
update your role to Administrator for that folder.
Once you have Admin access, the Archive Folder option will appear in the folder menu.
