Use folders for the companies that you manage. Each folder represents a company. Upload all your documents to the folder.

Create a Folder

You can create as many Folders as you need. Just click on the 'Add Folder' button and follow the instructions.

Connect a Folder to QuickBooks Online

There are two ways how you can connect a Folder to QuickBooks Online:

  • inside main dashboard by clicking 'Connect folder' and subsequently by clicking 'Connect to QuickBooks Online'πŸ‘‡

  • you can also connect the Folder while you browse it, by clicking the downward arrow of the Export button and choosing 'Connect your accounting'πŸ‘‡

This action will bring up the 'QuickBooks Connect' button that you can click and follow the wizard to connect your folder to your QuickBooks company.

Connect multiple folders to QuickBooks Online

Each folder in Datamolino can be connected to one QuickBooks company. You can use:

  • One folder for one company, or

  • Multiple folders for one company

When to use multiple folders for one company?

This approach is typically used by companies to set up different projects, company departments or locations.

Example: Chain of restaurants, each having someone else responsible for purchasing products. All restaurants are owned by one business entity and use one QuickBooks company. You want to have a different tracking category for each restaurant location.

Note: On the Business plan, all folders are tied to one cloud accounting connection. If you connect a new folder to a different organisation, all other folders will automatically update to sync with the new connection.

How to disconnect a folder from QuickBooks Online

Open the folder that you need to disconnect, then πŸ‘‡

  • click down arrow next to 'Bulk Edit' button

  • click 'Disconnect QuickBooks Online'
