To benefit from advanced features and direct export to accounting software, you can connect your Datamolino folder(s) to Xero, Quickbooks or FreeAgent.
Business subscriptions support a single cloud connection: All folders are connected to the same cloud accounting organisation.
Accounting and Bookkeeping subscriptions support unlimited cloud connections: Each folder can connect to a separate cloud accounting organisation.
How to connect a folder to a cloud accounting software
Click on the Datamolino logo in the top left corner to navigate to the Folders dashboard.
Click on Connect for the folder you wish to connect to cloud accounting software.
Select the cloud accounting software you wish to connect to.
Fill out the log in details to access the cloud accounting software.
Select the organisation you want to connect to. See this section for detailed screenshots for each software.
When the connection is successfully established, we will take a moment to download information from your accounting software. E.g. List of contacts, ledger accounts, tax codes, etc.
You can then refresh the page and configure automation defaults you'd like us to use for this folder.

Choose the connection type:
Accountant/Practice if you’re accessing FreeAgent through the Practice Dashboard
Company if you’re invited as a client.
If you’re connecting as an Accountant/Practice with multiple clients, Datamolino will show a list of your FreeAgent clients to choose from.
Click on the name to select a client.
How to manage and refresh the connection
To disconnect a folder, change the organisation, refresh the data and manage automation, please go to Folder Menu - Accounting & Automation.
Disconnect: Disconnects the folder from the cloud accounting software.
Refresh connection:
Synchronises data between cloud accounting software and Datamolino.
Necessary when ledger accounts, tax codes, etc. are added or edited in cloud accounting software.
Integration: Manage default settings for new suppliers and customers.
Workflow: Manage folder level default settings (only for administrators).
Automation Contacts: Manage default settings for individual or all existing suppliers and customers at once.
Line item rules: Create and manage folder level keyword based rules.
