What does "Contact is mandatory" mean?
The error "Contact is mandatory" means that the supplier name extracted from the invoice does not match any existing contact in Xero, meaning there is no pairing between the two.
How to fix the "Contact is mandatory" error?
To fix "Contact is mandatory" error please click on the 'Contact' field and:
choose one from the list (existing Xero contacts appear in drop down menu) or
create a new contact (once you pair a contact with a supplier name, we remember your selection.)
To ensure accurate matching in the future, it is important to establish the pairing between supplier names and contacts in Xero. However, please note that we respect your preferences and will not create new supplier contacts in Xero without your consent.
