Alongside the launch of the new Approval Feature, we’ve also taken the opportunity to improve navigation inside folders.
Some of these updates are changes we’ve wanted to make for a while, as they make the layout more logical and consistent. We know it may feel a bit different at first, but it should make everyday work smoother in the long run.
What’s different at a glance
Folders open in Ready by default and All Files tab located on the right side.
Actions to connect accounting software and refresh connection moved to the Folder Menu.
Bulk actions appear only after selecting documents.
Archive/Delete moved under Tools.
Folder Menu simplified for quicker access.
1. Folders now open in “Ready”
When you open a folder, you’ll now start in the Ready tab instead of All Files.
We’ve shifted the order so that the first tabs focus on documents that need your action - not on everything at once.
The All Files view is still available; it’s just been moved to the right.
2. Connect or Refresh your accounting software in Folder Menu
Connecting or refreshing your accounting software is now done from the Folder Menu at the top right. Before, this option was hidden behind a small arrow next to Bulk Edit.
3. Bulk actions appear only when needed
When you select documents, the toolbar expands automatically.
This keeps your workspace tidy and makes actions more intuitive.
Here’s what changed:
Bulk Edit appears once documents are selected.
Export to file is now visible straight away - no dropdown needed.
Archive and Delete are grouped under Tools.
4. Tools and Folder Menu - Easier navigation
The Tools button replaces the old three-dots icon and now contains all previous actions in one consistent place.
It contains Archive, Delete, and other document-level tools like Move to another folder or Dismiss errors/duplicates.
The Folder Menu has also been simplified.
We’ve removed shortcuts to subfolders, since you can now easily navigate between folders from the top-left corner of Datamolino.
