Updated this week

In this month's update, you’ll find new features designed to simplify your workflow and make managing documents even easier. Here is a quick summary👇

Support for Xero Contact Groups

You will find this option after you click 'Edit' on your Xero Contact

With Xero Contact Groups you have more control over your reporting in Xero. Whether you want to group contacts by payment method, supplier, or even employees for payroll, you can now assign the contacts to these groups in Datamolino—and changes will sync seamlessly with Xero.

Auto-Archive Exported Documents

Once enabled, exported documents will automatically be archived, keeping your folders tidy and focused on what still needs your attention. You can easily enable this in Folder Settings, or just let us know if you’d like it applied across all folders.

Calculate Tax Button in Invoice Total View

Now, with just a click, you can quickly recalculate tax amounts in the invoice total view. This gives you a quick and easy way to verify the amounts that will be exported to your accounting system, saving you time and ensuring accuracy.

Pick a Document Type When Importing Documents

Importing documents just got easier! Now, when you upload files, you can quickly choose the right sub-folder based on the document type, all from the import screen—no need to navigate through folders first.

Displaying the Original File Name

Sometimes, the original file name includes important information for processing documents. You’ll now see the original file name at the top of the document viewer—no extra clicking needed!

💡 Two Helpful Additions

Automatic Tax Calculation in Line Items View (Xero)

When using the 'Let Xero Calculate' option, tax amounts are now automatically recalculated based on the selected tax code. This makes it easier to spot any differences right away.

Automation After Transfer To a Different folder

When you move documents between folders, the new folder’s rules are applied by default. If you turn off this setting, the original folder’s rules will stay in place, ensuring your documents retain the correct contact information. You can find this setting in Folder Menu - Workflow.
