Datamolino Release Notes (May 2026)

Manual PDF Split, Recurring Bill Split, Quickbooks Item Detail Export, Copy Keyword Rules, Xero Quotes, Line item UI improvements

Written by Tina

This month's update brings new features to help you process documents faster and keep your accounting workflows running smoothly.

👉 Manual Document Split - Split a PDF containing multiple files

Datamolino has always been able to split multi-invoice PDFs automatically. Now you can also split manually - handy for when you simply forgot to set up Auto-split, or want to do it your way.

👉 Recurring Bill Split - Set Up Once, Reuse Across Suppliers

If you split bills the same way across multiple suppliers, you no longer have to set it up each time. Save a split as a reusable rule, then apply it to any supplier directly from the document view - once toggled on, Datamolino will apply it automatically to every future invoice from that supplier.

👉 QuickBooks Online - Export to Item Detail

QuickBooks users can now export purchase line items to Item Details, including quantity and unit price. If your bills include itemised product or service lines, Datamolino can pass that detail through to QBO - no manual cleanup needed on the other side.

👉 Copy Keyword Rules Across Folders - Set Up Once, Use Everywhere

Keyword rules you've built in one folder can now be copied to other folders connected to the same organisation. No more recreating rules from scratch - just copy what's already working and apply it where you need it.

👉 Xero Quotes Export - Send Quotes Directly from Datamolino

Need to send a quote instead of an invoice? You can now export documents from Datamolino directly into Xero Quotes. Just choose "Quote" as the export option.

👉 Line Item View - Spot Issues Faster

Two small changes that make reviewing line items quicker and more confident:

  1. Line item numbering - Each line item now has a number, making it easier to navigate longer documents and reference specific lines when querying an invoice.

  2. Calculated tax rate indicator - The actual tax rate is now calculated and displayed per line. If it drifts more than 0.5% from the assigned tax code, it turns amber - so you can catch discrepancies before they reach your accounting system.
