Business plans
Business plans are for single-entity companies, freelancers, and businesses.
They are designed for one business account with users who work on that business's documents. The key features are:
Unlimited users: invite as many users as you need.
Multiple folders: create folders for different branches, locations, departments, or teams.
One cloud accounting connection: all folders are tied to the same connected accounting organisation.
👉 Can a Business plan have several folders?
Yes. A Business plan can have multiple folders. The important limit is the cloud accounting connection, not the number of folders.
👉 What happens if I connect a folder to a different organisation?
On a Business plan, all folders are tied to one cloud accounting connection. If you connect a new folder to a different organisation, the other folders update to use that new connection too.
Accountancy plans
Accountancy plans are for accounting and bookkeeping firms handling multiple clients. They can also fit businesses with multi-entity requirements.
The key features are:
Unlimited users: invite as many users as needed.
Unlimited folders: manage folders for as many clients or entities as needed.
Unlimited cloud accounting connections: each folder can connect to a separate cloud accounting organisation.
👉 When is an Accountancy plan the better fit?
An Accountancy plan is usually the better fit when you manage several clients, several legal entities, or several separate accounting organisations.
If you need different folders to connect to different Xero or QuickBooks organisations, use an Accountancy plan.
Cloud accounting connections
The main practical difference between the two subscription types is how cloud accounting connections work.
Business: one cloud accounting connection for the account. Multiple folders can exist, but they share the same accounting connection.
Accountancy: multiple cloud accounting connections. Each folder can connect to the accounting organisation that belongs to that client or entity.
👉 What if my business has separate branches with separate accounting systems?
If those branches need separate cloud accounting organisations, the Accountancy plan may be a better fit. It gives you the flexibility to connect each folder separately.
👉 Can I start with Business and move later?
Yes. You can change your subscription if your setup changes. For example, you might start with one business connection and move to an Accountancy plan later when you need to manage multiple organisations.

Line items
Line items means Datamolino captures detailed invoice lines, not only the invoice header and totals.
👉 What is the difference between plans with and without line items?
Plans with line items include line items extraction: datacapture of every product / service line on the document, including description, quantity, amounts.
To get a plan with line items extraction, click the toggle "Do you need line items?" when changing your plan.
