When re-export can be used
👉 Can I send the same document to Xero again?
Yes, if the exported document is still a draft in Xero. You can correct the document in Datamolino and export it again. Datamolino will simply replace the previous export instead of creating a duplicate.
👉 When is re-export not possible?
Re-export is not the right fix if the document is no longer draft in Xero, for example if it is already approved, voided, or awaiting payment. If the exported document has the status Awaiting payment, delete the document in Datamolino, delete the matching document in Xero, then upload and export the document again.
How to re-export a document
Open the document that was exported incorrectly.
Update the details that need to be fixed.
Make sure the approval status is Draft when your workflow uses approval status for export.
Click Export to send the corrected version again.
👉 Can I undo an export?
This option is only available for Xero. If the document was exported with draft approval status, you can delete the record in Xero directly from Datamolino:
Open the document.
Click the menu icon.
Select Delete in Xero.
👉 I don't have the option to edit the document
Make sure the document is not archived. Archived documents cannot be edited or re-exported. Unarchive the document first and then continue.
What to do when the document cannot be re-exported
👉 What if the document is already awaiting payment in Xero?
If the document is awaiting payment, fix it by starting again with a clean export. Delete the document in Datamolino and delete the matching document in Xero. Then re-upload the document to Datamolino and export it again.
