How Money S3 export validation works

πŸ‘‰ Why was my export cancelled instead of just failing?

Money S3 is strict about what it will accept β€” if a file doesn't match what your folder expects, the import will simply refuse it. To save you time, Datamolino checks each document before generating the export file. If any document would cause the import to fail, the export is cancelled and you're told exactly which documents are the problem.

Nothing is marked as exported until the issue is resolved and the export succeeds.

πŸ‘‰ What gets checked?

Every document in the export is screened against two rules before the file is created:

  • The document's currency must match the country of your folder.

  • The tax rates on the document must be ones Money S3 recognises for your folder's country

Currency mismatch errors

πŸ‘‰ My export was cancelled because of a currency mismatch β€” what does that mean?

The currency of the document doesn't align with the expected currency for the country of your folder.

  • Slovak (SK) folders only accept documents in EUR

  • Czech (CZ) folders only accept documents in CZK

If a document in your export uses the wrong currency for your folder, the export will be cancelled.

πŸ‘‰ How do I fix a currency mismatch?

The error message will name the specific document. Open it and do one of the following:

  1. Correct the currency on the document to match your folder country, or

  2. Move the document to a folder whose country matches the document's currency

Unsupported tax rate errors

πŸ‘‰ My export was cancelled because of an unsupported tax rate β€” what does that mean?

Money S3 only accepts a defined set of tax rates for each country. If a document contains a rate outside that list, the export will be cancelled.

Accepted rates are:

Slovak (SK) folders: 0%, 23%, 19%, 5%, 20% (legacy, pre-2025), 10% (legacy, pre-2025)

Czech (CZ) folders: 0%, 21%, 12%, 15% (legacy, pre-2024), 10% (legacy, pre-2024)

πŸ‘‰ How do I fix an unsupported tax rate?

The error message will name the document and the rate that caused the problem. Open the document and check the rate on the affected line. Common causes are:

  • A typo on a line item (e.g. 22% instead of 23%)

  • A legacy rate that no longer applies to the period you're exporting into

  • A custom rate entered by mistake

Correct the rate and retry the export.

πŸ‘‰ The error mentions a tax rate I can't see anywhere on my document β€” what's going on?

Datamolino validates the rates from whichever view mode is active on the document β€” Items, Summary, or Tax lines. If you've switched view modes, old values from a previous mode won't be used. If a rate appears in the error but isn't visible anywhere on the document as it currently looks, please contact support and we'll investigate.
